Grundon launches UN Approved flat pack carton

S. Grundon (Services) Ltd, has pre-empted the 2002 transport requirement with the introduction of a new environmentally friendly and stackable carton. Designed to Grundon specifications, the new carton satisfies the UN requirements and provides a cost effective solution to the storage and transportation of yellow waste sacks. New name reflects growth for BFH

BFH Group Ltd is the new name for clinical waste management and disposal specialists BFH Incineration. This reflects its increasing portfolio of services and continuing expansion, which includes the recent acquisition of Medipower in Avonmouth - now known as South West Energy; the award of a management contract for the NHS’s St Albans incinerator; the purchase of mobile bin cleaning units to further enhance its service to London hospitals; and the opening of a Technical and Operations Office at Farnworth, near Bolton.

White Rose brings first re-useable sharps container to UK.

White Rose Environmental has signed an exclusive deal with an Australian company to bring the first reusable sharps containment system to the UK, known as Sharpsmart. Because the product is reusable, it is economically viable to design in many safety features that could not be contemplated in a disposable product. The net result is a reduction of up to 33% in plastic waste associated with sharps disposal going for incineration, and up to a 30% reduction in needlestick injuries.
