Compact Power launches mini thermal process
To meet the demand for in-situ processing plants for difficult waste Compact Power has developed a small scale version of it’s very successful pyrolysis and gasification process. The plant named The ST-150 will handle 150 Kg per hour of clinical waste and fits into two 40 foot containers. It produces heat that can be used in heating and cooling systems. The emissions from the process – as with Compact Power’s Avonmouth plant are well within the requirements of the Waste Incineration Directive.
The ST-150, originally developed for use on Royal Navy vessels, has successfully completed trials. It will allow in-situ waste processing thus cutting out the need and cost of transport.
