Demand for sharps containers, which can be easily and safely carried by clinical staff to the patient, continues to grow in the UK and mainland Europe. With this in mind Amcor / SPS have introduced the new Sharpak 35 PLUS 3.5 litre sharps container and its own dedicated procedure tray.
The risks of needlestick injury continue to be an issue for clinical and disposal staff when handling sharps containers. Once filled with used sharps and ready for disposal, containers should always be permanently locked. Anything which helps to give a clear visible  indication that a container is fully locked must be an advantage to the user and Sharpak VisiLOCK fulfils this requirement. The VisiLOCK is now incorporated on the Sharpak 18, 35, 60, 120 and 220 PLUS sharps containers from Amcor / SPS. 
A range of colour coded Sharps containers which were designed for the collection and disposal of sharps contaminated with cytotoxic drugs. Each size container in the range is supplied with a Sharpak HYDRI mat inside to absorb any free liquids that may be present and thus prevent spillage during handling and transportation of the containers.
