Cathedral Hygiene is an innovative organisation specialising in carrying out washroom servicing throughout the UK. We supply, install and service a range of washroom equipment such as Sanitary Disposal Units, Toilet Seat Sanitisers, Soap Dispensers, Warm Air Hand Dryers, Vending Machines, Baby Changers, Nappy Disposal Units, Air Fresheners, Water Managers, and Sharps Units.
We employ over 200 people and work from three main sites. Our head office is located in Tamworth. We also have a main distribution centre in Castleford and a telesales office in Llanelli. Our Castleford distribution centre also operates as a waste transfer station.
We have been operating under ISO accreditation 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001 next year) for the last few years for the washroom servicing activity.
Additionally, we have received our ROSPA Gold award for Health and Safety for the third year running, having held a silver award for the last 10 years.
We have been member of Safe Contractor for over 10 years and are an active member of a number of trade bodies and associations such as: Sanitary Medical Disposal Services Association SMDSA, Confederation of British Industry CBI, Birmingham health and Safety and Environmental Association BHSEA, Institution Occupational Safety Health IOSH and Chartered Institute of Waste Management CIWM. We regularly attend a variety of CIWM task groups including: Healthcare and Hazardous waste and Regulation, which is attended by Government and Regulators.
Our Environment Health Safety EHS Manager is a council member of BHSEA and represents the SMDSA on the HSE WISH forum. This avails us a ready platform on which to raise any legislative or Health & Safety concerns at a strategic level.
