David O'Gorman, of Cannon Hygiene, joins the Executive Committee, October 2017

David has accepted the invitation to stand as a Director of the SMDSA, effective from October 2017.  David joins the board with over 13 years’ experience in hygiene and healthcare waste management gained at Cannon Hygiene, and is a founding member of the SMDSA.

Having started out as an administrator in a Cannon Waste Transfer Station David quickly progressed through the Hazardous Waste team to his current role as HSQE Manager.

His daily role involves advising on all matters relating to health and safety, site permitting, carriage of dangerous goods, and waste disposal.  Undertaking continuous professional development David has achieved qualifications as a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor and NEBOSH national general certificate in occupational health and safety.
